Throw Up the Deuce

Aga Radwanska Is a Creepazoid

I find this original artwork by Agniezska Radwanska just a tad bit creepy. I hope she was told to do something funny because if this is the first thing she thinks of when she thinks of tennis, I’d be worried. It is kind of hilarious though that the character in the drawing bears an uncanny resemblance to J.J. If I were Jelena, I’d watch out, Aga’s coming for her.

Packin’ Heat

Venus Williams launched a 130 mph serve in the championship match at the Zurich Open against Flavia Pennetta. This is a WTA Tour main draw record, previously held by Venus herself at 129 mph. The 130 mph bomb helped Venus to a 7-6 (1), 6-2 win and solidifies her place in Doha next month.

Andy’s Got A New ‘Do

Andy Roddick’s sporting a super short buzz these days. Not such a good look if you ask me. Is that a receding hairline I see? Soon A-Rod’s gonna be looking like this: Read the rest of this entry »

Photo Op: Rafa Gets Recognized

Rafael Nadal got recognized for becoming the newest ATP world number 1 on August 18 earlier this year. The ceremony took place before the ATP Masters Series Madrid set to start next week. On a side note, Rafa looked yummy:

Still Not a Grand Slam

World number 1, Jelena Jankovic, won her third title in three weeks at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow. Whatever. I find it ridiculous that JJ is most likely going to be the year end world number 1 and she hasn’t even won a grand slam. She can win 10 titles in 10 weeks and she still won’t deserve the top spot. I kind of hate the WTA right now.

Spotted: Maria Sharapova Back On Court

Thank. God. Maria was seen back on court yesterday after two months of not playing. I don’t care if you love her or hate her you have to admit the WTA is boring as shit without her. More pics after the cut. Read the rest of this entry »

Ana, Please

Ana Ivanovic needs to take the rest of the season off. She’s won five matches since May. Five. She lost today to Dominka Cibulkova, 6-3, 2-6, 6-7, wasting two match points. If Ana goes to Doha, she’s just going to get embarrassed playing like this. Unless, she seriously thinks she can play through this slump, she needs to call it a season.

Maria Sharapova, You Better Be an Excellent Tipper

Girl, you better be giving that valet a good tip. If I made $26 million a year, I’d be giving out fifties as tips. Ms. Sharapova was seen Charlie-less/Camilla-less/Dolce-less/alone (whatever floats your boat) shopping in L.A. I’ve said it before, but rehab is doing the Mash good. And only a total creepazoid like me would notice this but, she got a haircut. And I love the top. The pants, not so much. Anyway, more pics after the cut. Read the rest of this entry »

The promotional advertisements for the Madrid Masters Series are so bleak. Transformers are for 5 year-olds, not your average tennis fan. Plus, they couldn’t even get a designer to make it look realistic. Novak’s head looks like it was pasted on in Kid Pix. Irregardless, I will still be watching the Madrid Masters Series and so should you.
