Throw Up the Deuce

In case you haven’t heard Maria Sharapova is “dating” some guy named Charlie Ebersol. Its a total fail any way you look at it. Being a Maria fan for probably too long, I can tell you that its most likely not true unless you here it straight from the Mash’s mouth. But, if it is, Maria, you can do so much better! This dude is fug. Can’t she at least “date” hot guys? And if this is a beard, for shame. I hate dishonesty. There is nothing worse than hiding who you are. Plus, Camilla is way hotter. Just sayin’.

Papa Djerkovic Gets in on the Djerking

Srjdan Djokovic, Novak’s father, apparently thinks the draw for the 2009 Davis Cup is rigged.

“Does anybody really think that it’s just a coincidence that we’ve gotten toughest opponent second year in a row, Russia in Moscow, then trip to Spain? Of course it’s not. Simply, nobody wants us to win DC”.

You’re right Srjdan, Davis Cup is just one big game of keep away from Serbia. His logic behind this; he thinks nobody in the ITF likes the Serbian Federation president.

“Our president left Bratislava on Sunday afternoon, he didn’t even wait for matches to end. If he at least went to Madrid with few influential people and journalists to try to affect the draw with his presence. Nobody’s fighting for Serbia’s interests and that is way we get this treatment. And when time for DC rolls around everybody will be expecting Novak to give his 150% and beat Spain on clay”.

Good Lord, that was unintelligent.

Who Wears Short Shorts?

Jo-Wilfried wears short shorts. Mr. Tsonga took part in a  kickboxing demonstration to help promote the ATP in Thailand. Jo-Willy is competing in the tournament held in Bangkok, looking to recapture his Australian Open final form after months off for knee surgery. Now, let the Muhammad Ali comparisons begin!

Oh, Hey, Maria

Maria Sharapova recently appeared in Hello! Magazine. Let me just say, chicks aren’t usually my thing, but Mash looks really good here. Really good. Anywho, the article was the same old janx, “you left Russia at a such a young age for tennis, that must have been so hard… blah blah blah.” Yeah, we know. Can someone please ask her something different? Oh and the Mash says she’s never been in love. “No, I don’t think I’ve ever been in love. Maybe I have and don’t know it!” she said. Girl, you’d know it. Seriously, this chick is either unbelievably closeted or living a dreary, sexless existence. But, most importantly, the shoulder is doing well. That’s all we should really care about, right? Rest of the pics after the cut. Read the rest of this entry »

Get It Girl

Yes, that’s Svetlana Kuznetsova. With David Ferrer. I didn’t think Kuz had it in her. Get it girl!

Told You.

I told you it would be comical when Rafa Nadal played Andy Roddick in reverse singles and it was. Rafa destroyed Roddick, 6-4, 6-0, 6-4. With a muscle strain. In his ass. Nadal revealed in the post match press conference that he almost didn’t play because an MRI on Saturday revealed a minor strain in his “famous arse”. Spain has now clinched the tie, no matter the outcome of the Ferrer-Querrey match. Roddick fell to 0-5 in must win Davis Cup matches.

Oh, hey Feliciano.

Good Effort, Samosaurus

Samosaurus took a set off of Rafa Nadal. On clay. Impressive, Samosaurus. This guy has some clay court prowess, which is rare for an American these days. Sam took the first set in a tiebreak over Nadal, in the first rubber of the USA – Spain Davis Cup tie. From there on Rafa was too good, and won the next three sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.

It’s going to be funny when Rafa plays Andy Roddick in the reverse singles. Just comical.
