One For the Ages

Rafael Nadal def. Roger Federer 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-7 (8), 9-7. This scoreline will be remembered as one of the greatest matches in the history of tennis. The history of sport for that matter. Today will be remembered as the day the guard changed at Wimbledon. It will also be remembered as the day Rafael Nadal proved himself a great champion outside of Paris. If I ever get to witness a match as good as this one again, I will be truly lucky. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal did something great for tennis everywhere today. Their efforts will surely go down as some of the best ever.

What an epic five set match by the two titans of tennis. My eyes were glued to this marathon for 4 hours and 48 minutes! This was the greatest and perhaps the best quality tennis I have ever witnessed in any tournament. Congrats to Nadal for taking down the great Federer.
