Good Effort, Samosaurus

Samosaurus took a set off of Rafa Nadal. On clay. Impressive, Samosaurus. This guy has some clay court prowess, which is rare for an American these days. Sam took the first set in a tiebreak over Nadal, in the first rubber of the USA – Spain Davis Cup tie. From there on Rafa was too good, and won the next three sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.

It’s going to be funny when Rafa plays Andy Roddick in the reverse singles. Just comical.

Sam-o-saurus!

I think Sam Querrey looks like a dinosaur. Just the way his left hand goes when he hits that whippy forehand resembles a T-Rex.  Samosaurus has had the U.S. Open of his life with a straight sets win over Ivo Karlovic earlier today. Next up for Samosaurus is Rafa Nadal, who beat Victor Troicki pretty handily in his third round match.
